It's Official

It is official. We put our house on the market yesterday. There is a big for sale sign in our front yard. We'll keep everyone posted on what happens.

Tyler gets a haircut.

Tyler was in desperate need of a haircut. He would start to twirl his fingers in his locks. Granted he has GREAT HAIR. It is super thick and starts to curl, like his sisters. But alas it was time for a haircut. Ryan and I decided to do the haircutting ourselves. I think we did a pretty good job. Tyler hated every minute of it. We gave him an Oreo to eat while we did it. He didn't take one bite he was so mad. Then when it was over I got him ready to get cleaned up and took the Oreo away, and then he was REALLY mad. I would have let him eat it, but it had hair all over and was disgusting. It was an adventure. I don't have a picture of the final product yet, but will get one.

Family Weekend

This past weekend we spent a lot of time with family in town. It was Brendon and Shay's open house in Oregon. It was fun to see everyone. Thursday was the open house. Friday we went to Lincoln City and enjoyed the rainy Oregon weather. Saturday was a nice BBQ and Sunday was a relaxful day. The kids loved being the center of attention. In one of the pictures the kids are playing "Rock Band" with Katie. And in another they are enjoying time with Shay and Brendon. Sunday morning Sydney "helped" make "making waffles" with Papa and also enjoyed looking at books with Grammy. I hope everyone enjoys the pictures. Thanks to everyone for nice the weekend.

We also set a Leprochaun trap for St. Patricks Day. I made the box and Sydney told me what to say and then she colored it. She asked what happens if we don't capture the leprochaun and I told her he would leave a treat or something. She told me she didn't want to catch him then. It was pretty funny.

Tyler's favorite thing to eat for breakfast is yogurt. He is getting better with the spoon, but still making a mess. Sydney has discovered the greatness of straws. They are her favorite thing. She absolutely loves to blow bubbles in her milk every morning.

Zoo and Feeding the Ducks

Last week we did a lot of fun things. It was a beautiful week here in Oregon, with the weather hitting between 50 - 60 degrees. On Thursday I took the kids to the Zoo. THEY LOVED IT! It was cool enough that the animals were moving and playing. We got to see the polar bear play with his toy balls and the elephants eating their food. Plus monkeys, tigers, sea lions, sea otters. It was a fun-filled afternoon. They also have little playgrounds within the Zoo that the kids loved.

This is Sydney riding the Elephant's Tricycle. The Zoo was during Tyler's nap,
So he got a little tired in the middle.

On Friday night, we went and fed the ducks as a family. The kids really got into throwing the food to them. And nobody ended up in the water. :) Afterwards, we went and had some ice cream. Sydney got the "pink kind with sprinkles." She also announced to everyone that she had to "share with Daddy because Mommy doesn't share her dessert." We got a good laugh out of this, and yes I did share.

This is Sydney running up the mountain with her pigtails flying in the wind. She was loving life! Tyler's favorite place was to be up on Daddy's shoulders. He thought it was the best!

This week I also finished Sydney's Easter dress. It was a lot of work and only 2 phone calls to my Mom. THANKS MOM! I'm glad that it's done and enjoyed doing it. Daddy picked out the material and I picked out the pattern. Here's the finished product:

Subway Fun

With tax season in full swing, Ryan has been working really hard. So on Saturday the kids and I went downtown to meet him for lunch. We went to Subway and the kids loved their sandwiches. Tyler wants to do everything that Sydney is doing so he wanted to hold his own sandwich the entire lunch. Ryan said we should have tipped the workers because he made such a mess. It was a nice lunch and we love the $5 footlongs!

Bath Time Bubbles

Sydney has been excited to have bubbles in the bath because Tyler can now say "bubbles." They have a great time playing in the bath together. They were trying to put it all on their chins and were laughing and laughing. We probably spent 25 minutes in the bathtub last night.

I am new at this blogging world, but I wanted to do something so I can keep better in touch with family and they can see how my kids are growing. I also want to document what my family is doing so my kids can look later - kind of like an online journal. I will keep posts, pictures and video on here. I am going to try to update it every Sunday, so check back the first of the every week.
